Due to the winter weather situation, the final cheerleading tryout clinic and judged cheerleading tryouts have been rescheduled. Visit www.melissaisd.org/cheer for the updated dates and times.
Melissa High School cheerleading tryouts for the 2022-2023 school year will take place on Thursday, Feb. 24 from 5:00 p.m. until completion in the main gym at Melissa Middle School. Students can arrive as early as 4:30 p.m.
In order to allow ample time for judging and tabulation, tryout results will be posted on the Cheerleading page on Friday, Feb. 25 between 4:00 and 4:30 p.m.
Tryout Clinics
Cheerleading Tryout Material Clinics are scheduled for Feb. 18, 22, and 23 from 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. in the main gym at Melissa Middle School, where students can learn and practice the tryout material.
Mandatory Student/Parent Meeting
All students who plan to try out for cheerleading, along with their parent or guardian, must attend the mandatory Cheerleading Student/Parent Informational Meeting. There are two options to attend: Monday, Feb. 14 or Tuesday, Feb. 15, from 6:00 - 6:30 p.m. in the Championship Center, Room 106B.
