Matt Nally has been selected as the new head coach of the Melissa High School Cardinal football team. Former head football coach, Seth Stinton, will continue to serve as the boys’ athletic director of Melissa Schools.

Nally served for three years as the offensive coordinator for the Melissa Cardinals, in addition to teaching physical education at Melissa Ridge Intermediate and North Creek Elementary. He steps into his new role in January.

“I am humbled that Coach Stinton would consider me for this position and I plan on building on the foundation that he created. I couldn’t ask for a better opportunity in a better community. My family and myself are so excited and I cannot wait to get started.” – Matt Nally

Stinton served as the Melissa Cardinals’ head football coach for the last 10 years and became the boys’ athletic director in 2012.

“I’m excited for the opportunity to continue in my role as an athletic director and focus on the administrative side,” Stinton said. “I’m also excited for Coach Nally; this is a great opportunity for him to continue to build on the outstanding football program that we’ve developed in Melissa, and to make his mark.”
