Melissa Schools welcomed 75 new teachers to the district during New Teacher Orientation on Tuesday, Aug. 6.
Superintendent Keith Murphy and Deputy Superintendents Dr. Robert Rich and Kim Boedeker led the orientation. The teachers were introduced to the Melissa Schools Core Values, Leadership Framework, and District Profile. Dr. Rich spoke about the systemic nature of Melissa Schools and emphasized the district’s priority of putting students first.
New Teacher Orientation continues through Wednesday at each campus. Next week, all Melissa Schools staff will attend Convocation and begin professional development.
