Due to the coronavirus pandemic, Melissa ISD has had to evaluate and adjust the plans for a number of different end-of-year school activities, many of which impact the Melissa High School Senior Class of 2020. While we know that in the traditional sense, these experiences cannot be replaced, we look forward to celebrating our students in new and inventive ways this year, while continuing to prioritize the health and safety of our community.

We have created a senior activities website outlining all that we have planned for the Class of 2020, including graduation, prom, banquets, award ceremonies, a senior caravan, and more. The website also features a Senior Spotlight photo gallery where we are highlighting our seniors’ high school achievements and postsecondary plans. You will also find a letter from Principal Kenneth Wooten that was shared with our seniors and their families this afternoon.

Note About Graduation: Please know that we have not lost hope of having an in-person graduation ceremony with our seniors and their families. We will continue to evaluate our options and will make a definitive decision about an in-person graduation date as soon as possible. In the meantime, we are producing a virtual commencement ceremony. Please visit the senior activities website for additional information.

We are excited to begin celebrating our seniors as we honor their time in Melissa and wish them well in their future endeavors.

Visit the senior activities website at This website will continue to be updated.
