Melissa High School student-athlete, Caroline Kasson, participated in National Signing Day on Wednesday, Nov. 13, signing her college letter of intent to play volleyball at Jacksonville State University.
Kasson signed her letter in the Melissa High School gym during mega lunch, following an introduction by head volleyball coach Frank DePaolo. Photo ops followed with family members, coaches, teammates, and friends.
Playing for the Melissa Lady Cardinals, Kasson’s career stats include 1,857 kills, 236 aces, 1,296 digs, and a hitting percentage of 0.254. Kasson is a four-time Academic All-District selection. Additional honors include 2nd Team All-District her freshman year, Co-MVP for District 11-4A her sophomore year, and MVP of District 11-4A her junior year. As a junior, Kasson was also named All-State, All-Tournament Team at State, TGCA All-Star, and Sports Writers 4A Player of the Year.
