Harry McKillop Elementary students traveled the world on Wednesday, Feb. 27 as part of the school’s second annual Multicultural Day.

Students from all grade levels spent two hours visiting 10 different countries: Vietnam, Malta, Uruguay, Brazil, Ethiopia, Mexico, Nepal, Ukraine, South Korea, and South Africa. At each country, parent volunteers shared colorful, immersive presentations that featured facts about the geography, history, customs, and culture of their native country.

The presenters brought in authentic artifacts for the students to view; some even provided a popular food or drink sample from their country.

As the students visited each country, they received a stamp in their Multicultural Day passport.
