Harry McKillop Elementary was one of eight schools selected for the A+ Hall of Fame “Showcase of Success” by the Region 10 Education Service Center.
According to Region 10, schools inducted into the Hall of Fame received an A+ rating by the Texas Education Agency (TEA) in the August 2018 Accountability Rating System and have implemented programs that align with TEA’s strategic priorities.
Harry McKillop Elementary is now featured on the Hall of Fame website along with seven other North Texas schools served by Region 10. The website highlights a strategic priority area for each school and provides an overview of how the school meets that priority.
“It is a tremendous honor for Harry McKillop Elementary to be inducted into the Region 10 A+ Hall of Fame,” said Krissy Womack, principal of Harry McKillop Elementary. “The vision and leadership within Team Melissa has created a foundation of academic success that has led HME to achieve great things. Through our adoption of five ‘Wildly Important Goals’ (WIGS), the teachers and staff at HME share a common vision and commitment as to how we will impact all students. The result of this commitment to student success shines through our students’ achievements. Congratulations to our #HMEproud students, parents, and staff on earning this distinguished honor.”
