We are living in unprecedented times due to the coronavirus pandemic. Traditionally, Melissa ISD hosts two in-person registration days for incoming Kindergarten and Pre-K students. In turn, this helps the district make projections for student enrollment, and hire additional teaching staff.
This year, we were unable to host a Kindergarten and Pre-K Registration event in May because our district has operated remotely since mid-March. As a result, we expect there are many new Kindergarten and Pre-K students in Melissa who are not yet registered for the 2020-2021 school year.
If you still need to register your child for Kindergarten or Pre-K for the 2020-2021 school year, the Melissa Ridge Education Center will be open from June 8-11, 2020 for parents and guardians to visit and complete that process. The front office will be open from Monday, June 8 through Thursday, June 11 from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
If you have not yet begun the online enrollment process for your incoming Kindergarten or Pre-K student, you may do so by visiting www.melissaisd.org/kindergarten. There, you will complete: 1) the Kindergarten & Pre-K Information Form and 2) the New Student Enrollment process online. After that, you can email your required documents to Cami Luke at email@example.com, or you may bring all of your required documents with you when you visit the school from June 8-11.
Early registration for Kindergarten and Pre-K students allows Melissa ISD to better plan for staffing needs prior to the upcoming school year. Please help us prepare for next year by completing the registration process in June.
Questions can be directed to the Melissa Ridge Education Center campus registrar, Cami Luke, at firstname.lastname@example.org or 972-837-2901.
