Celebrate Freedom Week is recognized annually during the week of September 17 to educate students about the sacrifices made for freedom in the founding of the United States and the values on which the country was founded.

American Indian Heritage Day

American Indian Heritage Day is recognized annually on the last Friday in September in honor of the historic, cultural, and social contributions American Indian communities and leaders have made to Texas, and to celebrate the rich traditional and contemporary American Indian culture.

Wall of Honor Nomination Deadline

Red Ribbon Week

Melissa Schools will celebrate Red Ribbon Week from Monday, Oct. 26 through Friday, Oct. 30, 2020. This year's theme is "Be happy. Be brave. Be drug free." as designated by the Red Ribbon Campaign.

Father of Texas Day

Father of Texas Day is recognized annually on November 3 in memory of Stephen F. Austin.

Election Day
