The Melissa High School Class of 2020 Graduation Ceremony will take place on Friday, June 5, 2020 at Cardinal Stadium, beginning at 8:00 p.m. The ceremony is expected to last approximately one hour. Graduates will be required to check in at 6:30 p.m. at the Melissa Middle School gym. Gates open for family members at 7:00 p.m.
In the event of an inclement weather situation, we will communicate any delays as promptly as possible to graduates and their families, as well as post updates on this page.
Graduation will be live streamed from Cardinal Stadium through the Melissa High School Facebook page. The live stream will launch 15 minutes prior to graduation. If you wish to tune in from home, please “like” the Facebook page and plan accordingly. In the event of technical difficulties, please rest assured that we are also producing a graduation video, separate from the live stream, to be shared in the weeks following the ceremony.
To watch the live stream, visit the Melissa High School Facebook page after 7:45 p.m. and look for the video player near the top of the page. (Note: Even if you do not have a Facebook account, you should still be able to watch the live stream.)
During the graduation ceremony, graduates will have the option to take a picture standing next to Principal Kenneth Wooten, off to the side of the stage. This is optional: parents/guardians, please have a conversation with your graduate to determine if you would like them to partake in the photo opportunity. Graduation photos will be available for purchase through Buzz Photos and will be published at the link below.
All seniors in the Class of 2020, as well as senior parents/guardians, were sent a Graduation Update in the afternoon of June 1, 2020 with important information and guidelines for the June 5 ceremony. This information is also linked below.
