Standout students and faculty from throughout Melissa Schools were celebrated during Cardinal Commendations at Thursday night’s Board of Trustees meeting. Harry McKillop Elementary students Layla Hollin and Knox Stinton led the Pledge of Allegiance and the Texas Pledge.

In addition, the Board of Trustees were honored as part of Board Recognition Month and Melissa Middle School Performing Arts performed a piece from Oklahoma. The district’s Reading Initiative was presented by student leaders from each campus.

  • MMS – 6th @ 97.55%
  • MHS – 9th @ 96.59%
