Melissa ISD parents and guardians can stay connected to what’s happening at their student’s school using the events calendars on the Melissa ISD website and app. These calendars feature upcoming activities, school holidays, fundraisers, and important reminders such as picture day and the end of a nine week grading period. Calendars are maintained for the district and each school. Families can also subscribe to an entire calendar or specific events and save the information to their personal calendar on a phone or computer.
To access and subscribe to school calendar events from the Melissa ISD website, follow these steps:
- Visit www.melissaisd.org to open the district website.
- At the top of the page in the district navigation bar, select “Schools” and then select your student’s school to load the school website.
- In the school navigation bar, select “Menu” and then select the “Events” icon.
- You now have access to the calendar events specific to your student’s school.
How to save a website event listing to your personal calendar: To subscribe to an event, either select or hover over the event listing and select the “Add to Calendar” button, and then select the type of calendar you are using. This will prompt the event information to download, which can be imported into your calendar.

- Download the Melissa ISD app.
- At the bottom right area of the screen, select the “Schools” icon and then select your student’s school to load the school section of the app.
- At the bottom left area of the screen, select the “Menu” icon and then select the “Events” icon.
- You now have access to the calendar events specific to your student’s school.
How to save an app event listing to your personal calendar: To subscribe to an event, tap the event listing and tap the “Add to Calendar” button, then select the type of calendar you are using and your phone will do the rest.
