Online registration will open soon for students who are returning to Melissa ISD for the 2022-2023 school year. The online registration process is slightly different this year: parents and guardians will be asked to create a registration account and enter a code associated with their student, sent to the parent/guardian email address on file with the school. Emails will be sent over the next few days.

Detailed instructions for online registration can be found on the Melissa ISD Returning Student Registration page at www.melissaisd.org/register.

Bus Transportation

As a reminder, parents/guardians who plan to have their student ride the bus on the first day of school must complete transportation registration by 5 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 8, 2022. To register a student for bus service, visit this link: Transportation Services. Families can register for bus service prior to completing Returning Student Registration.

Stay Connected

Parents/guardians should make sure that a current email address and cell phone number are on file with the school. Districtwide and schoolwide announcements and reminders will be communicated to families by email, text message, and/or phone call throughout the school year.

Parent/guardian contact information can be updated during online registration or in the Home Access Center (HAC) at www.melissaisd.org/hac.

Cafeteria Menus, Pricing & Meal Accounts

Throughout the school year, school cafeteria menus, pricing, and meal account information can be found by selecting the “Cafeteria” link in the navigation menu on the Melissa ISD website and in the Melissa ISD app, which will direct families to this link: Child Nutrition page.

  • Menus & Pricing: Breakfast and lunch menus are being finalized and are expected to be published online by the end of the week.
  • Free & Reduced-Price Meals: Families with students who receive free or reduced-price meals at school are required to complete a new application each school year. A paper application can be picked up at the school front office, and an electronic application is posted online at this link: Free & Reduced Price Meal Program.
  • Elementary Meals: During the past two years of the COVID-19 pandemic, Melissa ISD was able to offer free meals to all elementary students due to temporary flexibilities afforded by the federal government. The U.S. Congress did not provide funding in this year’s budget to allow schools to continue to serve these free meals. Qualifying families can still apply for meal assistance through the Free & Reduced Price Meal Program
