Dear Parent/Guardian,
We are notifying you that the technology infrastructure at Melissa ISD was compromised by a ransomware attack resulting in a cybersecurity breach, which was discovered the morning of Monday, May 16, 2022. This incident led to intermittent network outages throughout the school day, which have since been resolved.
- The district’s technology team is working diligently alongside the Region 10 ESC cybersecurity support team to resolve any and all concerns.
- Due to preventative measures put in place by Melissa ISD, no data has been lost.
- Effective this morning, STAAR testing for 5th grade and 7th grade is on pause and will resume on Wednesday, May 18, 2022.
