Melissa ISD has determined the projected school day start and end times, early drop-off times, and early release times for the 2022-2023 school year. These updated times will go into effect on the first day of school, Tuesday, August 23, 2022. Updated bell schedules for our middle and high school campuses will be published closer to the start of the new school year.
Note: In determining the school day hours, the Melissa Schools administrative team continues to evaluate a number of factors, including instructional time, student population growth, bus transportation, carpool drop-off and pick-up, working parents, and families with children at multiple schools.
Melissa Ridge Education Center
ECSE & Pre-Kindergarten
- School Day Hours: 7:30 a.m. – 3:03 p.m.
- Early Arrival: Begins at 7:05 a.m.
- Early Release Day: 11:30 a.m.
Harry McKillop, North Creek & Willow Wood Elementary
Kindergarten – 5th Grade
- School Day Hours: 7:45 a.m. – 3:18 p.m.
- Early Arrival: Begins at 7:15 a.m.
- Early Release Day: 11:45 a.m.
Melissa Middle School & Sixth Grade Center
6th – 8th Grade
- School Day Hours: 8:35 a.m. – 4:10 p.m.
- Early Arrival: Begins at 8:05 a.m.
- Early Release Day: 12:35 p.m.
Melissa High School
9th – 12th Grade
- School Day Hours: 8:15 a.m. – 3:55 p.m.
- Early Arrival: Begins at 7:50 a.m.
- Early Release Day: 12:15 p.m.
