The Melissa Cardinals will be back in action for Spring Game Day at Cardinal Stadium on Saturday, May 13 in preparation for the upcoming football season. Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m. and community tailgating can begin as early as 5:30 p.m. The game is free to attend, with concessions available for purchase, and fans will receive a free game schedule poster at the exit gate, while supplies last.

In addition, the “Game Day Experience” for young Cardinals has a limited number of spots available for both football and cheerleading. Registration costs $50 per child and is open to students in Pre-K through 5th grade. All proceeds will benefit the football and cheerleading programs at Melissa High School.

The Football Game Day Experience will include running through the hype tunnel at game time with a player and standing on the sidelines for the pledges, plus a meet-and-greet and autographs with the Varsity football players on the field after the game. Participants will receive a t-shirt, game schedule poster, and Sharpie pen. To register, complete this form.

The Cheerleading Game Day Experience will include a pregame meet-and-greet, photo ops, and autographs with the Varsity cheerleaders and “Birdie” the mascot, plus running through the hype tunnel at game time and cheering from the sidelines for the first quarter. A live broadcast of the Melissa Cardinals Spring Game will be available for those unable to attend in person. Video coverage will be provided by Melissa high school AV students, with audio commentary by the Melissa Cardinals Network. The live broadcast will begin at 7 p.m. A link will be posted to the district website and social media when it becomes available.
