Due to the potential for severe weather beginning Thursday evening and continuing through Friday, the difficult decision has been made to cancel the Melissa ISD Special Olympics track meet originally scheduled for Friday, March 24, 2023 at Cardinal Stadium.
Considering the hundreds of participating students, programs, and volunteers from Melissa ISD, the community, and area schools expected to attend the track meet, it is not logistically possible to reschedule the event in its entirety. We look forward to celebrating our Cardinals at the other upcoming events they have scheduled this spring for the Special Olympics, as well as planning next year’s Melissa ISD Special Olympics track meet.
At this time, all other scheduled Melissa ISD extracurricular activities will go on as planned unless otherwise communicated to students and parents/guardians by the program director, sponsor, or coach.
