Two Melissa High School students are in the running to win the “People’s Choice Award” as part of Congressman Sam Johnson’s 2018 Art Competition.
Freshman Clayton Vaughan’s art piece is titled “North Texas Range” and sophomore Caitlyn Koval’s art piece is titled “Blue Bonnets in Spring”.
The community can vote for Vaughan and Koval online by visiting bit.ly/VoteMHSArt and filling out the form at the bottom of the page. The deadline to vote is Monday, May 7 at 5:00 p.m. CST.
The student who receives the most votes will win the first place award and their artwork will be displayed at the U.S. Capitol Building for one year.
