The second annual Melissa Reading Festival is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 2 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Harry McKillop Elementary.

Featured activities include a helicopter landing, a variety of food trucks, live music by the Matt Nix Band, read-alouds, a performance by Texas Storybook Theatre, and skits by Colin Wells.

The annual Reading Festival is part of the district-wide #Read2Grow reading initiative. To learn more about the initiative, visit www.melissaisd.org/reading.
