Academy Afterschool Group Leader or Substitute Group Leader
Education/Certification: Minimum High School diploma/equivalent. College and/or childcare experience valued.
Responsible for leading students though the Academy Afterschool program’s schedule, and implementing the mission and guidelines of the program.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Conducts activities with students according to the provided schedule and Academy Guidelines. Maintains accountability of students ensuring their safety as outlined. Manages resources provided while ensuring proper use of MISD facilities during all activities. Maintains professionalism when interacting with students by using positive behavior strategies and setting clear expectations. Maintains professionalism in attire and conduct according to the MISD Code of Conduct. Documents incidents and accidents in accordance with guidelines. Attends training and professional development as required. Other duties as assigned to promote a quality afterschool program.
Between 2 ½ and 3 hours each day school is in session according to the MISD calendar (2:45-6:00). Hourly rate of $10.00/hour.
