Red Ribbon Week Dress Up Days for Oct. 25-28

Melissa Schools will celebrate Red Ribbon Week with different dress up days throughout Oct. 25-28. This year’s theme is “Express Yourself, Live Drug Free”. Please note that Monday, Oct. 24 is a Staff Development day, so there is no school.

See below for each school’s dress up days! All outfits should follow the dress code.


Harry McKillop Elementary
  • Monday, Oct. 24: No school
  • Tuesday, Oct. 25: Red out; wear a bunch of red to support our drug free school
  • Wednesday, Oct. 26: Express yourself; have crazy hair, crazy socks, emoji-themed clothes
  • Thursday, Oct. 27: Cardinals don’t do drugs; wear Cardinal gear
  • Friday, Oct. 28: College Bound Cardinals; Wear college colors or clothes

Melissa Ridge Intermediate
  • Monday, Oct. 24: No school.
  • Tuesday, Oct. 25: “RED ALERT”; wear as much red as possible to show support for our Drug Free school! Red ribbons passed out today.
  • Wednesday, Oct. 26: “Express Yourself”; crazy hair, crazy socks, emoji themed clothes.
  • Thursday, Oct. 27: “Cardinals Don’t Do Drugs!”; wear Cardinals gear.
  • Friday, Oct. 28: “Day of the Living Book”; dress as the book character you are presenting in class.

Melissa Middle School & Melissa High School
  • Monday, Oct. 24: No school
  • Tuesday, Oct. 25: The Power to Say No to Drugs: Dress like a super hero
  • Wednesday, Oct. 26: Team up Against Drugs: Wear sports clothes
  • Thursday, Oct. 27: Give Drugs the Boot: Cowboy clothes
  • Friday, Oct. 28: RED ALERT: Cardinals don’t do drugs: Dress in all red
