Hiring with Future Restructuring in Mind

All candidates were interviewed by a selection committee that included district administrators and teachers from Harry McKillop Elementary and Melissa Ridge Intermediate.

Kim Boedeker, Executive Director of Academic Leadership, spoke on Wednesday of the hiring process and future elementary school restructuring.

“The goal of the selection committee was to fill specific needs on both campuses, and seek out candidates who are fit for Melissa Schools with the future in mind as we restructure to three K-5 campuses in the fall of 2018. This process allowed us to look not only within our current organization, but also externally, and select candidates with certain skill sets that are needed to keep each campus moving in a positive direction.” – Kim Boedeker

Of the four individuals selected, three were internal candidates.

“We were able to look internally and restructure some of our current positions to add the needs to the campuses,” Boedeker added. “Students and staff at Harry McKillop Elementary and Melissa Ridge Intermediate will benefit from having these individuals join their teams. I am excited for the future of both campuses and the leadership team that has been built.”
