Ten students from the Melissa High School Senior Class of 2017 came together in early May to reflect on their time at Harry McKillop Elementary, and particularly the “Faces of the Future” tiles on display in the school’s main hallway.
These seniors, and 50 others from their class, drew a self-portrait on a tile for “Faces of the Future” when they were in fourth grade, during the first school year that Harry McKillop Elementary was open.
While on a special visit to school earlier this month, students located the tile they created and reminisced about their favorite fourth grade memories. Each student also shared where they are headed after graduation.
On Saturday, the fourth grade “Faces of the Future” will be the first students to graduate from Melissa who also attended Harry McKillop Elementary.
