Melissa Schools welcomes Timothy Brown as new counselor at Harry McKillop Elementary

Melissa Schools welcomes Timothy Brown, M.S., LPC as the new counselor at Harry McKillop Elementary School, beginning with the 2016-17 school year.

Brown served as a counselor at RISD Academy in Richardson since 2013, after serving for five years as an art teacher in Anna ISD. In addition, Brown worked as a counselor at Harold Murphy Counseling Center in McKinney.

Brown earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Art and Master of Science degree in Counseling from Texas A&M University – Commerce, and is completing a Ph.D. in Counseling. Brown provides training on advance counseling methods and has coauthored several scholarly publications in this area. He also acts as a consultant and program evaluator to help counseling programs improve.

“I am thrilled to join the Melissa ISD family,” Brown said Tuesday. “My family and I feel so blessed to be a part of this wonderful district. Helping people is my passion, and I look forward to serving the students, families, and faculty of Harry McKillop Elementary School.”
