Melissa Schools announces its inaugural Wall of Honor, an ongoing initiative that aims to recognize former students, staff, and community members who have positively and significantly impacted the district and society.
The Melissa Schools Wall of Honor distinguishes altruistic, high achieving individuals with a significant history.
Written nominations for the inaugural 2016-17 Wall of Honor will be accepted through Monday, Aug. 15. All nominees will be reviewed by a selection committee with inductees selected and notified by Monday, Aug. 22.
Melissa Schools will recognize its Wall of Honor inductee(s) throughout the day on Friday, Sept. 23 to coincide with Homecoming. Festivities include a ceremony and luncheon for all honorees, past and present, in addition to inductee recognition at the Homecoming pep rally and football game.
Each inductee will be featured on the Wall of Honor in the Board Room at the Melissa Schools Home Office.
Nominee qualifications and a nomination form can be found on the Wall of Honor page under Parents & Community, which also details information about the Wall of Honor selection process, recognition festivities, and a timeline of events.
