The Melissa Middle School Cardinal Track season has come to an end after a successful run at the District 11-4A meet.
The 8th grade boys came away with the District Championship trophy and set three school records.
Judson Greer broke the school record in the 1600 with a time of 4:36.45, and in the 800 with a time of 2:03.36. The 4×200 relay team, consisting of Chanse Holiday, Braylon Brown, Antonio Robinson, and Xavier Bighaus, broke the school record with a time of 1:41.25.
The 7th grade boys finished in third, trailing closely behind the champion team by only 10 points.
“We are very pleased with what these athletes have accomplished,” said Coach Jerad Castor. “These young men have worked very hard, and we are excited for what the future has in store for Melissa!”
