Students at Melissa High School have the opportunity to participate in a student-led assembly during the mega lunch period on Wednesday, March 14 to honor the lives lost last month at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida.
Melissa High School students will lead the assembly and introduce a new school club that focuses on how students can stay informed about, and get involved in, decision-making processes by the local, state, and national governments.
Melissa Schools Chief of Police Kelly Davidson will also speak about school safety.
The assembly is open to any Melissa High School student interested in attending and will take place in the gym.
