Three Melissa High School student athletes will sign a letter of intent to their respective colleges as part of National Signing Day this Wednesday, Feb. 1. Signing begins at 11:45 a.m. in the Melissa High School Cafeteria.
Amanda Kocsis will sign her letter of intent to play soccer at Loyola Marymount University. She plays Forward for the Melissa Lady Cardinals. Kocsis was named District 5-4A Offensive Player of the Year for 2016, Second Team All-State Forward, and Team Offensive Player of the Year for 2014 and 2015. She is the Melissa High School Career Goals Leader with 89 goals.
Gunnar Murphy will sign his letter of intent to play football at Cisco College. He plays Tight End and Linebacker for the Melissa Cardinals. Murphy was named All-District Utility Player of the Year and First Team All-Texoma Tight End.
Alfonso Viramontes will sign his letter of intent to play football at Texas A&M Commerce. He plays Offensive Line for the Melissa Cardinals. Viramontes was named All-District OL and All-Texoma OL.
