Bruce Minchey served as a member of the Melissa Schools Board of Trustees from 2004-06, was re-elected in 2007, and currently serves as the Vice President.
Bruce and his wife, Cherie have two children: Elizabeth and Abigail, both graduates of Melissa High School.
Bruce graduated from Leonard ISD, earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M Commerce, and earned his Master of Agriculture from Texas A&M University. He is the SVP/FHA Chief Underwriter at Dougherty Mortgage and has worked in commercial real estate/mortgage industry for over 26 years.
Bruce is the Board President of the Western Mortgagee Advisory Council; Board Member and former President of the Southwest Mortgagee Advisory Council; Board Member of the Melissa Education Foundation; and former Board Member of the North Texas Chapter of Appraisal Institute.
Additionally, Bruce loves to sing and promote gospel concerts.
