The 13th Annual Melissa Open Golf Tournament, hosted by Melissa Booster Clubs, Inc, was a huge success last Saturday, May 7 at Heritage Ranch Golf Club. The Booster Club thanks to all sponsors and players – and the weather – for contributing to an extremely successful golf tournament.
Over 40 students volunteered to work during the tournament, assisting players at each hole. Sophomore Kealey Poole performed the National Anthem, Duke Sparks led the prayer, and Senior Brooke Nolte, 4-time Golf State Qualifier, including State Silver Medalist this year, was on hand to shoot on behalf of the golfers, getting them much closer to the pin on a Par 3.

Money raised at the tournament will benefit the needs of Melissa High School and Melissa Middle School students in Athletics, Cheerleading, Fine Arts (Band, Choir, Theatre/Drama), and UIL Academics. See below for a list of examples of how money raised has previously and will continue to directly impact these programs.
